Building EnergetiCx President, Shane Nault, represented the USGBC North Carolina Chapter in presenting an educational session to the residents of the Highland Creek community on “Sustainable Homes, A Sustainable World Starts at Home”.  Studies show that we spend 90% of our time indoors.  The course introduced the basics of sustainability and the benefits it brings to residential homes while presenting the case for a sustainable future.  Attendees learned about the basic consumption of home energy use as a first step to learning how we can impact our home and our lives.  Several sustainable and energy saving tips were shared that individuals can begin to consider and/or implement right away.
