The U.S. Department of Energy announced that the Association of Energy Engineers® (AEE®) Certified Energy Manager® (CEM®) is the first certification program to be recognized under the Better Buildings Workforce Guidelines program. The Better Buildings Workforce Guidelines are a national framework from which organizations can develop high-quality and nationally recognized training and certification programs, helping to address consistency, quality, and scalability issues in the commercial energy efficiency workforce.
The CEM®certification is an extremely rigorous certification that covers all aspects of how buildings use energy and how to examine them for potential savings. The certification is not available to just anyone and requires a balance of education in a related background (architecture, engineering, etc.) and experience in the field. Our team of CEM’s® are leaders in Energy Management and can assist with your project. Contact Building EnergetiCx to learn more.
