The I-73/74 Randolph County Visitor Center project has achieved LEED® Silver Certification as certified by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). The project was a newly constructed 2,882 square foot visitor center. The project included sustainable features such as a rain water harvesting, solar thermal heating water system, efficient lighting and HVAC systems.
Our team provided LEED® v3 NC building energy simulation services to document Energy and Atmosphere Prerequisite 1 “Minimum Energy Performance” and Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1 “Optimize Energy Performance”. The projected is anticipating a 35.6% cost savings above the AHSRAE Standard 90.1 – 2007 baseline.
