Cape Fear Community College, located in Wilmington, North Carolina, recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest building, the Advanced & Emerging Technologies Building. This 74,000 square-foot building joins two other new buildings, the Veterinary Medical Technology Building and the Heavy Equipment and Transport Technology Building, that have also been recently completed. The addition of these three buildings will allow CFCC to offer new academic programs to its students, including the Veterinary Medical Technology program, which is one of five in the state of North Carolina.
Commissioning: Our team provided construction phase commissioning for the project. The commissioned systems included the building automation system, chilled water systems, heating water systems, variable air volume air handling units, variable air volume terminal units, 100% outside air units, lab exhaust systems, building exhaust systems and lighting control systems.. Commissioning was a key factor in ensuring that the systems were operating as intended.
