Shane Nault, president of Building EnergetiCx, presented at the National Conference on Building Commissioning in Nashville, TN.  Mr. Nault presented on the increasing role building energy simulations play for commissioning agents.  The presentation defined building energy simulations and outlined the different types of energy simulations.  The presentation also provided an overview of the building energy simulation tools that are available as well as an understanding of how the building energy simulation process can be beneficial to the project team when trying to maximize LEED®points under Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1, Optimize Energy Performance.
