Building T recently became the first building on the SAS World Headquarters campus to achieve LEED® for Existing Buildings (LEED® EB) Silver Certification. The LEED® EB rating system provides operational and maintenance strategies to maximize an existing building’s performance while reducing its impact on the environment.
The building included several energy conservation measures as part of the overall project, which included:
- Complete Lighting Retrofit incorporating T8 lamps and LED fixtures
- Existing Building Commissioning and Continuous Commissioning
- Energy Recovery to precondition the ventilation air
- Solar Thermal Hot Water System
Building T is a 220,000 ft², seven story office building, housing 650 offices. The building includes a 20,000 ft² full service cafeteria.
Our team conducted the required ASHRAE Level I building energy assessment for the facility. In addition, our associates worked with the owner to document the building systems and sequence of operation and assist with the development of the building operation plan and preventative maintenance plan.
