Every project has a starting point and an end in mind. During the building energy assessment phase, Building EnergetiCx works with the owner to gather an understanding of the building owner’s goals, the general condition of the building, and where the building stands in relation to similar buildings of its type and use. Building EnergetiCx will utilize the data collected to establish an energy baseline. The baseline will determine the starting point from which to measure the building’s progress.
“We can’t manage what we don’t measure.”
The objectives of an energy assessment are to identify and develop modifications that will reduce the energy use and/or cost of operating a building. The results are presented in a format that will provide the information needed by an owner/operator to decide if any, some, or all of the recommended modifications should be implemented.
Building EnergetiCx provides four levels of building energy assessments.
Building energy assessments establish a baseline understanding of annual energy use/costs and provide owners with these key benefits:
• Identify fast-payback opportunities
• Ability to make informed decisions on capital improvements
• Identification of low-cost/no-cost ECMs
• Ability to develop an integrated capital improvement program
