SAS Institute | Frösunda Office Building
Solna, Sweden
Project Size: 63,000 ft2
Cost: $15.3 Million
Project Description:
Building EnergetiCx provided LEED® commissioning services for SAS Institute’s new office building, beautifully situated in the Great Frösunda manor parklands. This building is at the forefront of environmental sustainability with a sedum roof, photovoltaic panels, geothermal heating and absorption cooling, energy recovery, chilled beams, solar shades, natural materials, and charging stations.
This project has received a LEED® Gold certification from the USGBC with the help of our team’s expertise. Our role on the project was key to the LEED® certification because of our familiarity with the LEED® rating system and ASHRAE Standards. Our team bridged the gap for the Swedish based design team and handled the building energy simulation, indoor air quality calculations, measurement and verification plan, and supported the team on several other credits.
