Project Description:
Building EnergetiCx provided LEED® enhanced commissioning services for the MCIEAST Regional Brig at Camp Lejeune. The new 26,000 ft², 75 bed, multi-story DoD level 1 confinement security facility includes specific confinement cells, detainee and staff showers, administrative areas, quarter deck, visiting area, cafeteria and dining area, religious area, and library.
This project received a LEED® Gold certification from the USGBC and features a closed loop ground source heat pump system integrated with a solar thermal system for heating domestic hot water and an energy recovery unit.
